Nos 95 And 97 Including Railings To Front

Nos. 95 and 97 are two houses that form part of a terrace built in the 1840s. They feature Flemish bond brickwork with light headers on a chamfered plinth, and have a common stone cornice with all dressings made of painted stone. The houses have a common graduated greenslate roof, with No. 95 featuring a 20th-century gabled dormer and original ridge brick chimney stacks.

Each house is two storeys high and has two bays. They were originally a mirrored pair with a central rusticated segmental carriage archway, which retains the original area cast-iron railings. The doors are flanked by entrances, with No. 95 having a panelled door and No. 97 featuring a 20th-century glazed door. Both doors have radial patterned fanlights in stone surrounds, set within round brick arches. The windows are 20th-century casements within original stone architraves, and No. 97 has an inserted 19th-century canted bay window. The interiors have not been inspected.
