Description
No. 22 Chiswick Street is a house that is part of a terrace, built in the late 1860s or early 1870s. It features English garden wall bond brickwork set on a chamfered plinth, with all dressings made of painted stone. The building has a dentilled and cogged brick cornice and a Welsh slate roof that includes skylights. The shared ridge has brick chimney stacks that have been reduced in height.
The house is two storeys tall and has two bays, following a double-depth plan. The right side has a panelled door with a fanlight, framed by colonnette and a moulded brick surround, topped with a rounded hoodmould. On the ground floor, there is a tripartite window in a stone surround, featuring a relieving brick arch beneath a segmental hoodmould. Above, the sash windows are set in stone reveals with stone sills, and they have segmental brick arches under a continuous hoodmould that is shaped over the windows. The interior has not been inspected.
