Description
No. 66 Claypath is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of English garden wall bond brick, primarily featuring five courses and one, with painted ashlar dressings set on a rubble plinth. The property has stone side steps built on a brick base and a roof made of Welsh slate. The house stands two storeys high with attics and consists of three bays.
Access is via side steps leading to a six-panelled door, which is framed by a wide architrave and topped with a cornice. The outer bays contain tripartite sash windows with header-course lintels and painted projecting stone sills, featuring late 19th-century glazing bars. The central bay has a small horizontal sliding sash window with two lights located under the eaves. There are also two-light attic windows in bargeboarded dormers, each topped with finials. A ridge chimney is positioned at the right end of the building.
