Description
Nos 45 and 47 Front Street are former houses, later used as a grocers shop and flat above. They date to the late 18th century. The walls are rendered with a stone plinth and dressings, and the roof is covered in Welsh slate, with brick chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The shop entrance has a 20th-century door with painted stone surrounds, flanked by early 20th-century shop windows. These windows feature coloured leaded glass in the upper panes, set within panelled wooden surrounds. Above, sash windows with glazing bars are set within painted stone surrounds. A six-panel door provides access to No 47, situated on the right-hand side. The properties are included on the list for their group value.
