Description

The Hollies is a house that was originally an old people's home but was restored as a single residence around 2003. It dates back to the 1830s and is constructed from calciferous sandstone ashlar, featuring raised quoins and a moulded cornice. The side walls are made of dressed red sandstone, and it has a graduated slate roof with lead hips and an ashlar chimney stack. The building has two storeys and three bays. The entrance features a six-panel door with a glazed fanlight, surrounded by a pilaster strip with a moulded entablature and cornice. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are framed by moulded stone surrounds.
