Description
The property is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed with channelled calciferous ashlar to the ground floor, plain ashlar above, and pilaster strips to the angles. A moulded cornice and blocking course top the facade, with dressed red sandstone to the sides. The roof is slate, and there is a brick chimney stack. The house is two storeys high and features a single bay front, with two bays visible from the sides. The doorway has pilaster strips, moulded capitals, an entablature, and a cornice. Steps leading to the entrance are fitted with cast-iron scrolled balusters. Sash windows with glazing bars are set within plain stone surrounds. The house faces Front Street.
