Description
Nos. 18, 20 and 22 High Street is a shop with a flat above, now functioning as a single property. It dates from the 18th century and was altered in the early 19th century. The building is constructed of squared stone with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof. It has two storeys and three windows.
On the ground floor, there is a fine early 19th-century shop front on the left, which includes a central half-glazed door with intersecting glazing bars and a large, elaborately-patterned overlight. This is flanked by small-paned shop windows that are slightly bowed, with fluted pilasters, a fascia, and a cornice. To the right of the shop front is a six-panel door. The three-bay section to the right has a boarded door, with a 16-pane sash window to the left and a 12-pane sash window to the right.
On the first floor, there are three 12-pane sash windows. The building has a steeply-pitched gabled roof with kneelers, flat coping, and a corniced stack at the left end.
