Description

The Spinning Jenny is a late 18th-century shop with a flat above, situated on the west side of Market Place in Masham. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings, and has a Welsh slate roof. It is three storeys high and one bay wide. A 20th-century half-glazed door with an overlight is located to the left, set within a plain stone surround on a plinth. There's also a 20th-century shop window. The first floor features a 20th-century casement window, while the second floor has a four-pane side-sliding sash window with a stone lintel. A stack sits at one end of the building.
