Description
Avon House is a late 18th-century house located on the west side of Market Place in Masham. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and has a Welsh slate roof. It is three storeys high and originally two bays wide. The central entrance features a four-panel door flanked by large 20th-century windows. The first floor has two eight-pane sash windows, each with a stone lintel and sill. The second floor has two twelve-pane side-sliding sashes, again with stone lintels and sills. Chimneys are situated at either end of the building.
