Description
No 6 Church Street is a cottage dating from the early 18th century. It is built of coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and features a pantile roof that has three eaves courses of stone slates. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays.
The entrance is a four-panel door with a stone lintel located between the second and third bays. The first bay contains a 20th-century board wagon door with a board door above it, set in a plain stone surround. The second bay features an early 19th-century shopfront window with 20 panes, complemented by pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice. The third bay has a four-pane sash window with a stone lintel and sill.
On the first floor, there are two four-pane sash windows; the one on the left is in a plain stone surround, while the one on the right has a stone lintel and sill. The left side has a shaped kneeler and stone coping, and there is a ridge stack on the roof.
