Description
College Grove is a house built in the mid-18th century, with a second floor added in the late 18th century. It features coursed rubblestone and coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings, topped by a graduated stone slate roof. The building has three storeys and three bays, with quoins at the corners.
The main entrance consists of a six-panel door with an overlight, framed by a wooden surround with Doric pilasters on a plinth, and a frieze and cornice situated between the first and second bays. There is a half-glazed door located between the second and third bays. The first bay contains a tripartite 19th-century sash window, while the other windows on the ground and first floors are sashes with glazing bars, featuring flat brick arches and stone sills. On the second floor, there are three six-pane sash windows, also with stone sills and flat brick arches. The roof is finished with stone coping and has end stacks as well as one stack at the ridge.
