Description
The Bay Horse Inn is a public house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of rubblestone and rendered, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. The building stands three storeys high and features three bays. There is a stone step leading to a central six-panel door, which is topped by an overlight and set within a late 19th-century doorcase that includes plinth pilasters, consoles, a frieze, and a cornice. On either side of the entrance are canted four-pane sash bays, each with sills, friezes, and cornices. The first and second floors contain four-pane sashes set in plain stone surrounds with projecting sills. The building is finished with shaped kneelers and stone coping, along with end stacks.
