Description

This is a row of three early 19th-century shops with living accommodation above, located on the west side of High Street in Belford. The building is constructed of ashlar stone with a Welsh slate roof and old brick chimneys. It is two storeys high and comprises five bays. A central entrance is reached by three steps leading to a six-panel door with a six-pane overlight. Flanking the central door are shop fronts, each with a half-glazed door and a bow-fronted shop window featuring thin panelled pilasters and a cornice above. The outer bays have a renewed window to the left and a 12-pane sash window to the right. On the first floor, there is a blank window above the central door and four 12-pane sash windows. The roof is gabled with flat coping, and a large chimney stack is located at the left end.
