Description

No. 1 West Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and has a Welsh slate roof with renewed brick chimneys. The building is two storeys high and features three bays. Access is gained by three steps, which have 20th-century handrails, leading up to a central panelled door with an overlight above. The house has 12-pane sash windows. The roof is steeply pitched, gabled on the right side with an end stack, and has flat coping and kneelers. On the left side, it is connected to the return of No. 2 High Street.
