Description

No. 1 Castle Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble with painted ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof with later 19th-century brick chimneys. The building has two storeys and two bays. The entrance consists of a panelled door with an overlight set in a raised stone surround. To the left of the door is a sash window with a projecting sill. On the first floor, there are two 12-pane sash windows, each in raised stone surrounds. The roof is gabled, with a stack at the left end.
