Description

The village cross, located on Norham Castle Street, dates from the medieval period and the 1870s. It is constructed of sandstone and features a medieval base consisting of six high circular steps. Above this, there is a Victorian shaft adorned with clustered columns, topped by a very tall elongated pyramidal structure that includes a weather vane. The cross is also designated as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
