Description

A pair of houses dating from the 1840s and 1850s. They are constructed of ashlar stone with a Welsh slate roof and brick chimneys. The houses are two storeys high, with two and three bays respectively. Raised alternating quoins are visible. Number 8, on the right, has three bays. It features a central panelled door with a 2-pane overlight, set within a raised chamfered stone surround and a cornice hood supported by brackets. The windows are 12-pane sashes with projecting sills, and a sill band runs along the first floor. Number 9 is similarly detailed. A hollow-chamfered cornice is present. The gabled roof has flat coping, and there are two end and one ridge chimney stack.
