Description
Buchan Lodge is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a concrete tile roof with 19th-century brick chimneys. The building has two storeys and three bays, with rusticated quoins at the corners. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped by an overlight, all set within a broad rusticated surround that includes a keystone integrated into the cornice. The windows are sash style, framed in flat raised surrounds, with a narrow 19th-century window located to the right of the door. There are sill bands on the first floor. The roof is steeply pitched and gabled, complete with kneelers, splayed coping, and stacks at the ends.
