Description
The Masons Arms is an inn, likely from the 18th century, which was refronted around 1820. The entrance was altered around 1900. The building features painted roughcast and a Welsh slate roof. It has two storeys and consists of five bays, plus one additional bay.
On the ground floor, the second and third bays have a recessed entrance with a wooden lintel. Inside the recess, there are two panelled doors flanking a two-light window with a wooden mullion. The first and fourth bays have two-storey bow windows with tripartite sashes, featuring 12 panes in one and 8 panes in the other, along with roll-moulded sills. Above the recessed entrance, there are two 12-pane sashes. The right bay contains boarded double doors leading to a through passage on the ground floor, with a 12-pane sash above.
The building is topped with a hollow-chamfered cornice and a low parapet that has flat coping. The steeply-pitched roof features a banded ridge and a stack at the left end.
