Description
Albion House is a house and attached cottage, likely dating from the early 18th century, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The attached cottage may be from the early 17th century and has also been altered. The main house is constructed of random rubble with stone dressings, and has a pantiled roof with 19th-century brick chimneys. It is two storeys high and has four bays. It features a plinth and raised alternating quoins. The front door, located in the second bay, is set within a raised stone surround. There is a twelve-pane sash window to the left and two sash windows to the right, all in similar surrounds. Three gabled half-dormers with matching surrounds are positioned on the first floor. The roof has a steep pitch and end stacks.
A single-storey outshut with a catslide roof and one raking dormer is located at the rear.
Also at the rear is a single-storey, two-bay cottage built using older masonry and featuring a bold, roughly-dressed projecting plinth.
Inside the main house, the ground floor has oak beams. The cottage is said to contain older roof timbers.
