Description

Tait's Shop, W. Patterson's shop, and flats above are two shops with flats located in Belford Market Place, dating from around 1820. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and topped with a Welsh slate roof. It has two storeys and five bays in total. The left shop, No. 4, consists of two bays featuring a six-panel door with a four-pane overlight in the right bay and a 12-pane margined sash window in the left bay, with a blank space above the door. The right shop, No. 5, has three bays, with a six-panel door in the centre and a 19th-century shop front to the right, which includes panelled pilasters and a corniced fascia. The left side of the roof is hipped and features a corniced ridge stack.
