Description

No. 2 West Street is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a Welsh slate roof, with renewed brick chimneys. The building has two storeys plus a basement and consists of two bays. There are four steps leading up to a recessed six-panel door located in the right bay. The left bay contains 12-pane sash windows, while there is a blank window above the door. To the left, there is a boarded door that leads to a through passage. The roof is gabled on the left side and has an end stack. The bay to the right of the door is the return of No. 4 Market Place. This house is included for its group value with nearby buildings.
