Description
Nos 9 and 11 on High Street in Pateley Bridge are two shops with flats above, dating from the mid-18th century. They are constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar detailing and feature a graduated stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays.
On the left, there is a late 19th-century shop front that includes pilasters, consoles, a frieze, and a cornice. To the right, a 20th-century shop front also features pilasters, a frieze, and a cornice, with both fronts having recessed glazed doors.
On the first floor, the left-hand bay has a sash window with glazing bars in the top sash, set within a plain stone surround. To the right, there is a three-pane casement window in a similar surround. The central bay features an arched window with a plain stone surround and imposts, with the top half displaying radial glazing bars. The building has end stacks.
