Description
Talbot House is an early 18th-century hotel located on the north side of High Street in Pateley Bridge. The building is constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar detailing and features a graduated stone slate roof. It stands three storeys tall and has a three-bay double gabled facade. The structure includes a plinth and raised quoins.
The central entrance consists of a six-panel door set within a pedimented Tuscan doorcase. All windows are four-pane sashes with plain stone surrounds. The window above the door is semicircular headed, complete with imposts and a keystone. There are plain bands at lintel level on all floors. Above the quoins, a frieze and cornice are present, which are topped by large ball finials, and the gables feature stone coping. The building has end stacks.
