Description

The Pateley Club is a house dated 1664, with alterations from the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of rendered stone and has a graduated stone slate roof. The building has three storeys and two bays. At the base, there is a plinth. On the left side, there is a board door set in a chamfered stone surround with a four-centred arched lintel that is inscribed with "HW 1664". To the right, there are three late 19th-century canted bay windows featuring segment-headed sashes, all within pilastered surrounds and topped with hipped roofs. The first floor has a band and raised quoins on the right side, with two four-pane sashes in plain raised stone surrounds. The second floor features right-pane side-sliding sashes in plain raised stone surrounds. There is an eaves band and end stacks.
