Description
Marine Cottage is an early 19th-century house located in Port Carlisle. It features rendered walls and a plinth with V-jointed quoins on the left side, along with a dentilled cornice. The roof is made of Welsh slate, and there is a red sandstone ashlar chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and has two bays, originally constructed as the first in a terrace, although the other houses were never built. The entrance includes a panelled door with a patterned fanlight, a pilastered surround, and a round moulded arch with a false keystone. The sash windows have glazing bars and are set in plain painted stone surrounds. There is a single-storey extension at the rear, which is not of significant interest.
