Description
No. 82 on Main Street is a house built around 1838, with later additions and alterations. It features coursed, squared rubble with rusticated quoins and has 20th-century concrete tiled roofs. The main house is two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-bay front. The central entrance includes a panelled door with a semicircular fanlight, set in a stone surround with carved imposts and a keystone. The front and east return have sash windows, while there is a round-arched stair window on the east return. To the west, there is a lower two-bay extension that is set back, featuring a partially glazed door and a single sash window on each floor to the right. All windows have stone surrounds, with some having glazing bars and others boarded up at the time of the survey in January 1984. The building is included for its group value.
