Description
The Manor House Hotel, which incorporates numbers 10, 11, and 12, is a hotel built in the late 18th century to early 19th century, with various additions and alterations over time. The exterior features incised stucco, with the main block set back and accented by rusticated quoins and an eaves cornice. It has parallel roofs covered with 20th-century concrete tiles, along with stone copings and kneelers, and rendered end chimneys.
The building is two storeys tall, with the main block being the taller section. Originally, it had a symmetrical five-bay design with a central panelled door framed by an architrave. The doorcase is adorned with Tuscan pilasters that support a broken, swan-necked pediment. There are two sash windows on either side of the door and five above it, all set within architraves. A bay with a sash window was added to the south end during the 19th century.
A seven-bay wing, which was refronted in the 19th century, features an elliptical-headed coach access with projecting imposts and a keystone. This area includes a door and two sash windows to the left, a sash window to the right, and a part-glazed door in an architrave with stucco decoration above on the far right, along with a stable door on the far left. There are six sash windows above this access. Additionally, there is a 20th-century extension at the rear of the building.
