Description

Ashley House is a 19th-century house located northeast of Number 16 Finkle Street in St Bees. It features rendered rubble walls set on a plinth, with stucco corner pilasters. The slate roof has end chimneys, one made of stone and the other rendered. The house has a symmetrical three-storey, three-bay front, which includes a central panelled door framed by a corniced Tuscan doorcase. The windows are sashes with glazing bars, set in stone surrounds, and are taller on the ground and first floors. There is a semicircular-headed stair window on the south return.
