Description
No. 109 on Totnes Road is a house, now divided into three units, built around 1845. The exterior is plastered with a slate roof that is hipped at the ends. It features stacks with linked stone rubble shafts and corbelled cornices. The house is designed in an L-shape, positioned end on to the road, with a main block that has a double-depth layout and a rear left service wing. There are alterations at the rear and a service yard in the center at the back. The building has two storeys and a symmetrical three-bay entrance front. The entrance includes a doorway with a floating cornice on consoles, a central panelled door, and a plain overlight. There are two 12-pane sash windows on the ground floor and three on the first floor. The right side of the building has a similar doorway to the right, along with one ground-floor and two first-floor 12-pane sashes. The interior has not been fully inspected, but 19th-century joinery remains, and the house may contain other interesting features.
