Description

This building comprises shops, originally houses, dating to the late 18th century with alterations in the 19th century. The front is stuccoed, with raised quoins on the right side. The end wall features dressed red sandstone on the ground floor, above which is English garden wall bond brickwork. The roof is of Welsh slate with a lead hip on the right, and there are brick chimney stacks. The building is two and a half storeys high and two bays wide. Number 7 has a late 19th-century shop window without glazing bars, a 20th-century door, and single-pane sash windows with moulded stone surrounds. It also features a small attic casement above. Number 9 has a mid-19th-century shop window with glazing bars and a 20th-century replacement door, along with sash windows with glazing bars to the upper floors and side.
