Description

The Sewing Box is a shop that was formerly a house, dating from the early 19th century, with a late 19th-century shop front. The building features incised stucco with raised quoins and a moulded cornice, stone dressings, and a slate roof with lead hips, along with a brick chimney stack. It has three storeys and two bays. The shop front includes a central recessed entrance with decorated wooden surrounds for the door and windows, topped with a shaped and dentilled wooden cornice. The single-pane sash windows have moulded stone surrounds. This building is included for its group value.
