Description
No. 2 Larkhall Lane is a house believed to date from 1733, with some 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features a slate roof with brick stacks at either end. The central entrance has a 20th-century door set in a pegged wood surround, leading to a gabled porch. The house has three-light casement windows on the ground and first floors, except for a two-light window in the center of the first floor. All windows have stone lintels with keyblocks. The exterior includes a plinth, quoins, and part of a stone-coped gable with kneelers on the left side. There is a chamfered plinth on the right side facing Larkhall Lane and at the rear facing Upper High Street.
Inside, the house features chamfered spine beams, an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer, a winder stair, and a fitted cupboard with shaped shelves.
