Description
Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century and additions from the 19th century. It is built of coursed squared ironstone and features a concrete tile roof, with brick end stacks on stone bases. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, presenting a three-window range.
A 20th-century door is located to the left of the centre, framed by a moulded wood surround with a flat-arched head. The ground and first floors are adorned with three-light leaded casement windows that have flat-arched heads, while a gabled dormer features a two-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion window with a hood mould. The farmhouse has a chamfered plinth and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Additionally, there are two-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion windows on the ground and first floor gable ends.
Inside, the farmhouse includes an ogee-stop-chamfered spine beam, some ogee-stop-chamfered joists, a 19th-century marble chimneypiece, old wrought-iron catches on the windows, and a collar-truss roof.
