Description
The Old Dairy is a house dated 1735, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features a plain-tile roof from the 20th century, along with brick stacks at each end. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories high with a two-window range. There is a central blocked door, and the ground and first floor have 20-pane sash windows. The ground floor windows have flat-arched heads, while the first floor windows are topped with stop-chamfered wood lintels. Between the first floor windows, there is a worn datestone inscribed with R/TT/1735. To the left, there is a single-storey lean-to extension, and to the right, there is another single-storey extension with a slate roof. Inside, the house features a stop-chamfered spine beam and an open fireplace with a chamfered bressumer. The building was formerly thatched.
