Description
The Cobbles is an early 18th-century house located on the north side of Lower Green in Moreton Pinkney. A datestone reading 1714/MB is visible on the building, though it has been altered in the 20th century. The house is constructed of coursed square limestone with an artificial stone slate roof, and has brick and stone stacks. It has two storeys and two bays. The ground floor features three two-light casement windows with keystoned lintels. Similar two-light casement windows are on the first floor, with a date plaque set between them. An early 18th-century extension to the right has been remodelled in the 20th century and is built from similar materials and has one storey and an attic. This section has three bays, with a doorway on the left featuring a wood lintel and a 20th-century half-glazed door with a side light, covered by a continuation of the main roof supported on wooden brackets. To the right are two three-light casement windows with wood lintels. The gabled end of the extension has coping and kneelers, and incorporates 20th-century dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
