Description

St John's Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage constructed from coursed ironstone rubble with a tile roof and a brick stack. The building has two storeys and two bays. The central doorway features a wooden lintel that extends over the windows on either side. It has a plank door and a 20th-century metal hood. There are three-light casement windows on both sides of the doorway, as well as similar windows on the first floor. The gable end to the left has been rebuilt in brick. Inside, the cottage includes stop-chamfered beams, a winder staircase, and an open fireplace.
