Description
This is an 18th-century cottage located on the north side of Blacksmith’s Lane in Eydon. The cottage is constructed of roughly-coursed ironstone rubble, with squared stone quoins. It has a corrugated asbestos roof and brick stacks on either side. The two-bay cottage is of two storeys. A doorway is located to the right of the centre, featuring a wooden lintel, a half-glazed plank door, and a gabled timber porch. There are two-light casement windows with wooden lintels on either side of the doorway. Matching windows are present on the first floor. The interior is reported to contain chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, though it has not been inspected.
