Description

Sunnybank is a late 17th-century house located on the north side of Blacksmith’s Lane in Eydon. The building is constructed of squared coursed ironstone with a corrugated asbestos tile roof and has brick and stone stacks. It is two storeys and an attic, with three bays. The central doorway has a flat, keystoned arch and a 20th-century glazed door within a timber porch. A three-light window with a stone hood and wood mullions, featuring an old iron casement, is positioned to the left. Similar two-light windows are on the right and in the left and right bays of the first floor. A two-light window with a stone mullion is also present. A 19th-century extension to the right exists, but it is not considered of special architectural interest. The interior, which has not been inspected, is said to contain a set of chamfered beams with run-out stops, an original winder staircase, and an open fireplace.
