Description

Bunkers Hill Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located in Badby. The construction is of coursed ironstone rubble, with a corrugated asbestos roof, brick ridge, and internal brick stacks at the rear. The cottage comprises two units, with a two-storey, two-window facade. A plank door is located on the left-hand side, protected by a timber lintel. There are two-light casement windows on the ground and first floors. A four-panel door is on the right side, accompanied by a single-light window to the right and above, both under timber lintels. A 20th-century brick extension has been added to the rear. The interior retains features such as stop-chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace with a bressumer bearing stop-chamfered bar stops. The cottage was originally thatched.
