Description

The Cottage is a cottage dated 1774. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with an asbestos tile roof and 20th-century brick end stacks. The building follows a two-unit plan and has a two-storey, two-window front. A central four-panel door has a timber lintel, above which is a stone inscription reading WT/1774. There are three-light, 20th-century aluminium casement windows to both the ground and first floors, each with a timber lintel. A 20th-century garage extension is situated to the right. Inside, the cottage features die-stop-chamfered spine beams and an open fireplace with a bread oven and a die-stop-chamfered bressumer.
