Description
Elm Cottage is an 18th-century cottage located on the north side of Main Road in Moreton Pinkney. It is constructed from coursed ironstone and limestone rubble, topped with an artificial stone slate roof and features brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and has three bays. The entrance is situated in the second bay from the right and includes a wood lintel, a plank door, and a gabled timber porch. To the left of the entrance are two 3-light casement windows with wood lintels, while to the right is a 2-light casement window, also with a wood lintel. On the first floor, there are two 2-light casement windows with wood lintels. Inside, the cottage features stop-chamfered spine beams, an open fireplace with a timber bressumer (which has been papered over) and a 20th-century grate inserted, as well as a 20th-century staircase.
