Description
The Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the 18th century. It features a coursed limestone rubble plinth with rendered walls and a tiled roof, along with a brick stack on the left side. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays. The doorway in the left bay has a wooden lintel, a 20th-century door, and a tiled hood. To the right, there is a three-light casement window with a wooden lintel. The first floor has similar windows, with the one in the right bay featuring an old iron casement.
There is an extension to the left that is of a similar date and materials, which is one storey and has an attic with eight bays. It has buttresses at each end and in the center. A 20th-century window in the right bay has a rendered surround and two two-light casements placed one above the other. To the left, there are two two-light casement windows with wooden lintels. At the rear, there is a semi-circular bread oven projection with a tiled roof. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have chamfered beams and an open fireplace.
