Description

Barlye Furlong Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th or 18th century, constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with some sections banded in ironstone. The left bay has been rendered. It features a thatched roof with flanking brick stacks and is one storey high with an attic, comprising three bays. The doorway located in the second bay from the left has a wooden lintel and a part-glazed plank door. To the left of the doorway is a two-light casement window with a wooden lintel, and to the right is a similar three-light window. There is also a two-light casement window in the attic. An extension on the right side, likely from the 17th or 18th century, has a rendered facade with coursed limestone and ironstone rubble on the sides and a thatched roof. This extension is one storey high with one bay and features a three-light casement window with a wooden lintel. The interior has not been inspected.
