Description
Long Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th to 18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, topped with a thatched roof and featuring brick stacks. The building has two storeys and four bays. The original entrance was in the second bay from the left but has been filled in with a 20th-century window. To the left of the entrance, there is a two-light casement window with a wooden lintel. To the right, there are two three-light casement windows, one of which has an iron casement, along with a 20th-century one-light window with a wooden lintel in the right bay. The first floor has irregularly spaced one- and two-light casement windows, all with wooden lintels. At the rear, there is an entrance to the left featuring a wooden lintel and a plank door, as well as a semi-circular bread oven to the right. The interior has not been inspected.
