Description
Church View Cottages are a pair of cottages located southwest of the churchyard, dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, topped with slate roofs and featuring brick stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of four bays. The doorways in the second and third bays from the left have wooden lintels and plank doors. The right bay contains a three-light casement window with a wooden lintel, while the other windows are all two-light with wooden lintels, some of which have original iron casements. On the right side, there is a projecting stone bread oven with a stone slate roof. The interior has not been inspected but is reported to have been remodelled in the 20th century, with open fireplaces removed. The cottages are included for their group value.
