Description
The Old Vicarage is a house built between 1696 and 1704. It is constructed from limestone ashlar with chamfered quoins and features a tile roof with flanking stone sticks. The building has two storeys and an attic, arranged in three bays. The central doorway is framed by a moulded stone surround and an open segmental pediment supported by brackets. There is a 20th-century double half-glazed door with an overlight. On either side of the entrance are 20th-century canted bay windows. The first floor has two-light windows with wooden mullions and transoms, set within moulded stone frames that include keyblocks. The gable ends are coped and feature kneelers. On the right side, a short wall projects and contains a 15th-century square-headed window with two cusped lights. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have early 18th-century panelled walls and an overmantel in a ground floor room.
