Description
The stables at Green Farmhouse date from the 18th century and are constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a slate and corrugated iron roof. The building features four bays and a loft. There is a doorway in the second bay from the left with a wooden lintel and a plank door, and another doorway in the second bay from the right with a wooden lintel and a six-panel door. Two window openings, which are boarded up, also have wooden lintels. The left gable end is coped and includes kneelers. Inside, the loft floor dates from the 19th or 20th century. The wall at the rear is made of 18th-century red and grey brick in Flemish bond, topped with stone coping. The stables are part of a group value context.
