Description

A farmhouse and barn, likely originating as a long barn around 1700, with the two left bays converted into a dwelling in the 20th century. The structure is built of coursed squared ironstone, with the two bays of the farmhouse rendered. The roof is corrugated iron over thatch, and there is a brick stack. The farmhouse section has two storeys and two bays, with a rendered frame around the entrance in the right bay, featuring a 20th-century glazed door and side lights. All windows are two-light casements with rendered surrounds. The adjoining barn, spanning two bays, features two doorways with wood lintels and plank doors, alongside two openings to the loft, also with wood lintels and plank doors. A coped gable end is present on the right. Internally, the barn retains an original tie beam and collar roof structure. The property is listed for its group value.
