Description

Walnut Cottage is a 18th-century cottage located on the south side of Kilsby Road in Barby. It features a coursed limestone rubble plinth and rendered walls, likely constructed with cob, topped with a corrugated iron roof over thatch and brick stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of five bays. The doorway, located in the second bay from the left, has a wooden lintel and a plank door. There are 6-pane windows with wooden lintels on either side of the doorway. The right bay contains a 3-light casement window with a wooden lintel, while the second bay from the right has a similar 2-light window. The first floor features 2-light casement windows, all with wooden lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
